El Patio Restaurant in Simi Valley

Food is a bit salty and not really appetizing. Service was ok, but it was understandable since there were a lot of people. Very nice service overall, but their food could be a bit better

I love mexican restaurants that offer a fairly inexpensive weekday all-u-can-eat buffet. However, I suggest u skip the buffet didn't rainy weather. They move the buffet inside which offers less room 4 the spread. The buffet then may not include dessert options. Still, rice, beans, 2 diff salads, fruit, enchiladas, chili reinos, pork Verde, shredded beef in a red sauce, chicken & steak fajitas, tortillas, chips & salsa. U can return w/ a fresh warm plate 2 fill 'til u're surely full. $9.99, decent enough deal.

The restaurant is in a good location, staff members are nice, but the food is ALWAYS greasy & oily! I have ordered a variety of dishes, over the last 6 months, to give this place a fair chance. But, EVERYTHING I order is always dripping with the orange grease, oil, and is tasteless!! I really recommend to the Owner, that they get a new cook! This is slop food, with fatty meats!!

El Patio has the best fajitas I've ever eaten. Their shrimp salad is wonderful with their very special house dressing. I only gave them four stars because of the decor. The owners need to take some of the money that they're making in the restaurants and repaint, remodel , and refresh.

I'd give them 5 stars if their lunch buffet had a little more variety and a taco bar. It's pretty much the same items every day.Changing this to 5 stars because they have started to switch things up a bit on the lunch buffet. Today there were shredded beef tacos, Chili Rellanos, Chili Colorado, and Chili Verde in addition to the normal beans, rice, cheese enchiladas, Mexican scrambled eggs, fruit, salads, soup, etc. The food was hot and the service excellent. Price is very fair....buffet and iced tea total under $12!

This is the best. Mexican food. Anywhere. El patio has been and always will be my favorite restaurant in the world! And honestly, they have amazing flavors. I now live in San Diego where we're known for having legit Mexican food, but nothing compares to El Patio. Seriously. This place should be Michelin rated.

This is one of my favorites! They had music last night and the DJ would like to do it every Friday. I personally think it's a great idea. All the people and families were having so much fun, I think if we all request this from the owner they will give this DJ a chance and we'll have great music to dance to.

Such a great place to grab some good Mexican food. Was surprised to find a lunch buffet this afternoon. Extremely cheap and delicious. The service was impeccable. I'm going to be coming back whenever I can :) :)

Nice atmosphere. Enchiladas were kinda bland. They don't do table side guacamole which I prefer so I can make sure it's not spicy. Service is good. Deep fried ice cream is good

Always good, reliable Mexican food. The margaritas are good too but never the same. Luckily I like surprises.

The food is delicious. The service pushes it over the top. These folks are so friendly and accommodating. We had a luncheon during the soft opening and all servers were masked, gloved, and went out of their way to make the event safe and enjoyable. Thank you!

It is always best to build a relationship with your bartender or waiter to get best service.

Was a horrible experience. I waited over 30 min just to get water. And over an hour before I could even get a waiter to take my order. I used to love this resteraunt. The service is so horrible now I will NEVER go back. Horrible Horrible Horrible

I love the outdoor seating, the ambiance, and the food. But, they definitely need to work on their service. Waiters are very slow, they don't seem to come around very often, don't know if it is a staffing issue or what?

What a cute place located in an unexpected location. There's patio seating which can get quite busy even when dine in seating was allowed. The staff are all friendly and personable. No matter what you order on their menu, its all delicious and flavorful. The Cadillac Margarita isn't bad either!

Always a pleasure to visit with my family. The food was good and service was good as well. They are often open holidays as well. We have been going to this restaurant for years and no complaints.

The best Mexican food and family atmosphere in Simi Valley. In the evening, take a longsleeve shirt and enjoy the south-facing patio (hence the name, El Patio). Seafood fajitas is my favorite dish. Always fresh... and filling. Good house wines, too. Dodgers on TV, at the outdoor bar. Wow.

My brother-in-law and his wife live near the restaurants Simi Valley location. It's their go-to Mexican restaurant as they put it. I can see why, not only is the service wonderful but the food is excellent I had a crunchy taco combo that was over the top delicious, I also have a taste of my wife's chili relleno which was equally as delicious. Although I've been to this restaurant a couple of times before with my in-laws I thought I should do the restaurant Justice by writing an excellent review because they deserve it. It's a great family place to meet. Also I should mention my wife had a Cadillac margarita which was as good as something you would get in Cabo San Lucas.

Very clean and welcoming restaurant. They serve large meals and for reasonable rates. We liked the menu a lot and the staff members were very amiable and informative. Recommended.

Love this restaurant must go when in Simi. Family owned and operated, outstanding food and services. Inside and outside tables, patio area room for 100 at a time. Live bands Saturdays check first. I highly recommend it. Yummy I forgot to take a pic before I started eating lol. 👍👍 both hands double thumbs up😎❤

I eat in this restaurant often! This is my favorite spot to dine. I visit this place frequently. The food is excellent, the crew is polite and the rates are affordable. I enjoy going in this spot to have a nice meal.

As good as any family style generic Mexican food I’ve had in New Mexico, Arizona, and the Desert in SoCal. It’s not going to win any awards, but the price is right, the plates are hot, and the margaritas aren’t too watered down. Kids are welcome and the patio, appropriately, is a centerpoint. I had the Chile Verde plate with flour tortillas. I’d like it to be a bit spicier, but understand we’re in Simi Valley, not Oaxaca.

I was hot and tired after golfing in 100+ degree temperatures. It's was before opening but they let my friend and I come in anyway. They were very kind. The food and drinks were great. I had a beef dish and my friend had a large quesadilla. The guacamole was excellent and the salsa was pretty good, better than most. It was a nice lunch. I'll be back.
